Rev.Troy Grimes
Senior Pastor

Rev. Troy Grimes grew up in Clinton Louisiana where he attended and graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Louisiana. Later Rev, Grimes enrolled at Southern University in 1989 to peruse a degree in Criminal Justice.

Rev. Grimes received his calling to preach in 1993 he began preaching under the leadership of the late Rev. Green who was the pastor of Hyman Chapel AME Church at that time.  Later he enrolled in religious studies at the ITC Extension out of Atlanta , Georgia There he began his spiritual journey.  His pastor ship began at Bethel St. Francisville where he served 7 years.  He later pastored his home church Hyman Chapel for a short period.  Rev Grimes pastored Mt, Everett for 2 years, then pastored at Venable Chapel AME Church and he is pastoring Quinn Chapel AME Church.
Rev. Grimes is married to Mrs. Tracie Moore Grimes, and is the father to one son Master Tyler Grimes (deceased) Rev. and Mrs. Grimes reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Rev. Grimes' favorite Bible Passage is (Psalms 37: 1-4)

Is our local Deacon at Quinn Chapel AME Church she became an Ordained Deacon on October 25, 2015 at the Louisiana Annual Conference. Rev Elsie Smith is currently the Superintendent of our Church School. Her favorite song sung by the Quinn Chapel Senior Choir is "I Can't Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand". Her Favorite Scripture is (Psalms 107). Rev. Smith has 2 Sons 6 grandchildren aGnd 7 Great-Grandchildren.
